today is my son birthday i can hardly beleive he is 47 . last friday i hosted s small group of knitters we had a great time kathy, doreen, shirley, lisa, una, kay and myself we had a good time. then on monday i had our knitting bee, mary edna, kay and pat came for lunch . on thursday my sister came from ottawa we stayed at peters, and on friday we up north had a nice time went to check out a spa and the cassino which i won 100.00 then tuesday i went swimming and the to the guild meeting i hosted some games one was the fastest knitter, also 3 other games most everyone enjoyed them we also had to wear some orange or black knitted thins i made an orange sock pin
i also knitt a pr of mitts and slippers and have finished aiden;s sweater

I went north for the weekend , had a nicce time just sat in the sun and knit, i am knitting mitts for the schools i plan to 6 pairs. i went for 2 walks and on the w11 . had good company/
tuesday night we had our first guild meeting , only 20 people signed up but expect more will come next month. oct meeting is games night i have 4 games ready to be played will tell later what they are. i finally finished my 2 shawls, a black one, and a grren one . knit 5 pr mitts for xmas gists. on my needles i have mitts, shawl, vest , some for xmas mitts , and a sweater for aiden
today i go to the dr and am meeting a friend for coffee before

it sure is hot 41 degrees with the humidity, i went out to take garbage but couldnt breath so came right back.

i finished knitting the green shawl for my daughter in law for her birthday and a pair of socks took picutues will put them up when i find out how to do it . now i have the baby pants to finish which i will do this week then the black shawl for shari a gal at my work then on to new things i want to make mitts for xmas for several people ,

This weekend we went to a guild members for the weekend she livers in the county near the us border so lovely and she and her husband are great hosts, there were 7 of us , four slept over. so nice to sit out side and knit, talk, eat and drink cofee, tea and wine, i knit on my black shawl for Shari, we also did show and tell.
she plans on making this a yearly thing,
when i got home i got a call they were taking my grandaughter out to supper for her birthday which e=was friday. we went to a buffet, where they have every thing arranged in order, like italian, chinese etc.
my poor diet sure went to hell oh well back on it to day.

i have been back a week from Kingston, had a good time we shopped, rode arround in the convertible car, went to fan fary saw lot of nicce things and of i had to buy , also went to a jewellery party which of course i bought something, a pink pendant and ear rings to match and a xmas gift. i also bought some baby clothes for Aiden, poor Aiden and Emilia are both sick today, i hope the soon feel better , o h while in kingston i only bought enought yarn to make 3 pr mitts for giftsm i have so much knitting to do now baby pants, 2 shawls make that 4 mitts and other things. apparently i was the first to finish my shawl so i won the bottle of wine,

yesterday was WWKIP day, so the montreal knitting guild went to a members garden for the day, there was 14 members attended we sat in the garden and knit . talked, showed yarn, projects finished or doing had our lunches, and enjoyed the sun. thanks Shirley for the use of your garden
today the sun is shining but is suppose to rain again.

last friday I a few friends in from the montreal guild we had agood time, we knit a bit, talked eat drank wine and played games,
it was nice to entain again, i really like that i mad cupcakes and dec orated them licorice forballs of yarn and toot picks doe needles and some i used color icing to make a shape of a sock.

Tuesday night was last meeting until Sept for Montreal Knitting Guild, the next one in June is our Garden Party it is going to be held at one members back yard,
Iwon the Golden fleece award again this year, it is for one that puts alot in the guild that is not an executive, I got a gift certficate to the LYS and potted plant/
I also joined the gym, i plan on going 3 times a week. I am knitting a baby sweater,pants and hat for a baby shower i will be going to ,

this weeke nd we went to our annual UFO in kingston, there was 12 guild members that went and then we met 2 friends that live in kingston to join us we had a time friday we drove up went to Picton. then Belleville very nice yarn shops of course I dropped some money there, then saturday we went to a bead shop very very nice, we made stitch markers and learned some beading plus bought ready made things,' then to a yarn store where i bought again of course, then to lunch nice dinner food was good but service was lousy, then to a mill, then a cheese factory where i spent some more money, then to a pottery shop, where i got some wood salad spoons made in africa, very nice, then to the hotel for a rest, then to Chez Piggy for dinner i had the salmon which was to die for, then back to the hotel for some knitting. sunday we went to an alpaca farm, those animals are so nice friendly we were in the yards with them , then to her house where we all made purchases, of course.the n we came home

the time goes so fast, i have worked a bit with my old boss on the income tax,
tuesday nite was our MKG meeting, we had vendors who sell yarn on line but no store front , there was some lovely yarn and good prices, and no tax, i bought some sock yarn and angora for a pair of mitts, i wish i had got the lace weight. for a scarf,
now i am trying to get ready for UFO trip to Kingston next week. i am so excited we will have a great time, we paln on visiting 2 yarns shops a bead shop, cheese factory, a mill, a alpaca farm and eat and drink but i have to be carefull as i am on weight watchers but i can have a good time
i am knitting on my earth stripe wrap, 7 of the members are making it , it is lovely

I received my package from pal today, did she ever spoil me , 2 balls of moda-dea in purple tweed, 1 skein of misti alpaca in purples and 2 skeins of royal llama silk in dark wine colors all my favorite colors, some starbuck choc covered coffee beans and some stitch markers that i love

it is very rainy today, but hope it will take some away.
on Tuesday at our guild meeting we had a lady teach us the cast on or the moebuis scarf, i could not get it will have to have a private lesson as i want to knit one,
i am knitting a pair of socks from flat feet yarn very interesting patterns. goldy browns . green and a pattern of white yellow and purple.
i also have a vest started and and a shawl, i also want to knit myself a shawl,i have joined the earth stripe wrap that some of the m,embers of the guild are doing, anxious to get the yarn and get started.

well the holidys came and went, had a nice time but little Aiden was in the hospital, but he is okay now, Christmas I was the faimly at my sons Peters, and new years day i went there again, santa was very good to me again as usual, i finished i pr, of socks , i have started another with nora sock yarn which i dont care about, it keep s breaking, and i also am knitting a neck warmer for myself Hope to use some of my stash instead of buying new yarn, on tuesday we wqent to Lorraine.s she is a member of the MKG she lives in the country, very nice home and we had a nice knit in with 4 othe members, so back to reality tomorrow

I had avery busy week , monday shopping, tuesday was our little knitting bee, at mary's very nice lunch, wednesday we went to lunch with my boss, the meal was excellent, and i saw all the old gang, thursday i went to lunch with my friend marg, we always go to scores which is a chicken place, friday i went to kays and we made things for the baby shower she was going to. friday nite i slept at peter;s and all day saturday i was at peters we went shopping, made cookies with tina's boys we had fun. aiden started to crawl up one step and he nows has 7 teeth,
I knit 3 pairs mitts for the mitten tree, on tuesday night, and will make some shortbread fro the Montreal kniitng guild. it is our xmas party. i am now knitting socks

when i was kid i loved Halloween, as i lived in the country and every one knew every one and we had no where to buy costumes, we made our own, we used a pillow case for the mask with the eyes , nose and mouth cut out, we had to find clothes that no one woulkd reconize as when we went to the houses they tried to guess who we where, so much fun, now i live to see the kids in all there costumes especially the little ones

Saturday and Sunday , i took a work shop with Beth Brown-Reinsel, she is an excellent teacher, Sat, we made a mitten, of course i only got the cuff done but that is akay as i know how to do fair isle, Sun,we made a mini sweater , loved doing it, i didnt finish it but did on monday , i love the way the cast on is done for sweaters,no more ribbing for me, of course i bought 2 of her patterns,
yesterday (monday) was very rainy and windy but no snow, today i am going to my granddaughters new apartment to help her. iam still knitting on the shaw about half way then to the frill.

i had full week, tuesday swimming, ww anf the mkg meeting, there were owners from a wool store there with samples, very nice people, and they have a nice store as i have been there twice, wednesday i went to the theater to see scorches , very good then 4 of us went for supper in old montreal, it was such a nice night we just walked around for a bit, thursday nothing, friday shopping and saturday i went shoppong with doreen and emilia . i bought emilia winter coat, then they came here for supper, i had roast pok, carrots, turnips, parsnips, and potatoes and for sdesset i made an angel food cake with strawberries and dream whip, aiden was such a good,
on kbittinbg my shawl is coming along well and so are my socks. it is beautful fall day here in montreal sunny and all the colors fo the trees

i had a funny experience today, i met a friend for lunch at scores and had to visit the rest room, so I walked into and went in one stall, did my business and came out and there was a man there . so i said you are in the wrong room. no he said I was, we had a great laugh, as there was no urnials in sight. marg was with me she was embarassed but i thought it was funny and did the man . then i went to the cafe and met shirley and barb and drank coffee and sat knit until five then i came home and supper, it is cold so tomorrow i wil clean the heaters aand put the heat on
yesterday i spent part of the day with emilia, aiden and doreen, emilia went loking for an apaertment.

tomorrow is the fifteenth of sept. i dont know where the time goes, it is rainy today so knit,
yesterday i went clothes shopping but didnt find anything, my current clothes are too big for me know.
baby Aiden has 1 tooth, and he is getting so big, i bought him a jolly jumper. i hope he likes it
my daughter in law and step grand kids have gone to Austria , to the grand mother as she is not well
we started our knitting bee, we meet once a month, for lunch, there re five of us, we eat, drink wine, talk, and knit or help each other with our problems, also the montreal kntting guild started up again, it second tuesday of each month. i also started senior swimming on tuesday afternon and hope to start aqua fitness next thursday, so i have to keep busy.

today was emilia's eithteenth birthday, so i took her shopping, she got a pr. of grey dress pants, 2 pr. jeans, 2 tops, a pr of shoes, ans 2 shirts for alex and i got a n outfit for aiden, and emilia got an outfit for cindy's baby,
then we had lunch in the food court, i had chop crazy , which is a salad bar, you make your own salads. thery have everything there, and then the lady chopps up ypur salad and is served in a stainless sttel mixing bowl, really neat.

my day got off to a bad start, first i had to take the bus and didnt have a pass for aug, so put in change 2.75 and it should of only been 1.75 for senior, then on the bus a guy got took my tranfer and gave me his, when i got on the 106 bus the transfer was no good, lucy for me a ;ady was on the 113 bus and was taking the 106, so she told the bus driver i had paid on the 113.
then i went and did my errands, and when i got home the mailman had left a notice i have a register letter which i cant get until sat afternoon, when i get a register letter i get nervous as i dont what it could be.
i have started knitting the baby sweater for the 4th time, hope it works okay as i need it for the 17th, guess my day could of been worse ,

Sunday was baby Aiden's baptism, he was such a good boy and never cried, we had a lovely lunch at the grandparents home, beautiful day so we sat outside, and he got lovely gifts,
i have finished knitting a shawl and have started another one and am on the foot of the second sock, yesterday we had our knitting bee, there is 5 members, we had it at Mary's where her hisband did a bar b que, hambergers and hot dogs, french fries, cole slaw, wine of course, for desseet rice pudding, tarts, coffee all very nice, Pat is knitting a vest , Kay a scarf and Edna a scarf myself socks ans mary was helping Pat, so a very nice day.

we went to Kingston, where we had a blast, we met up with two of my friends from there and we went yarn shopping and also to a mill where they make yarn , we had a good time.
i am still working on my socks and shawl, on my shopping venture i bought yarn for my nieces little girl to be born in sept.
lastr night at the meeting we have stash sale and elected new executive committee.
sunday little aiden is being baptist.

a few weeks ago , the MKG had a work shop with Sally Melville, she is the best I learnt so much with her, on Sunday I went to see Swan Lake on ice, very very good, can the Russians skate, it was in the theater, so they made special ice.
in the knitting news I am knitting a shawl in pink alpaca, for my sister,
the first of May we go to our annual UFO , this year it is in Kingston, we will visit a lot kniting place, so should have a good time.

march was suppose to out like a lamb, but it snowed
sunday my friend kay and i went to the mouline wool store, she moved to a bigger store and is very nice, i got some pink alpaca for a shawl for my sister, 2 balls of noro for socks and a pattern book, also some chunky wool for a scarf she had knit up for a sample,
i am noe knitting a sweater for aiden , socks,
next week end we to a course given by sally melville

a very nice day , but more snow expected, i have finished my vest and when i get it sewn together i will post a picture, i am now knitting little aiden a sweater.
